Paper Abstract:      This paper presents the method applied in the development of the commercial product UMC (Minimal Units of Knowledge). The goal of the UMC is to develop small eLearning units. The main technology requirement is that these units can be accessed from an on line non-commercial ebusiness application and from other eLearning commercial platforms supporting SCORM. The added value of this approach is that the development is the same for both platforms, though the exploitation environments are really different. Other important requirements are that the development of a big volume of units (in number) is easy, and the involvement of software human resources is not needed. The final points of the document address the designed architecture and the main results obtained.
