Paper Abstract:
|
A Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach enables businesses to flexibly address their current and future needs in
an agile manner. This is achieved by adopting a service mentality, where services can interoperate and can be flexibly
combined to provide agile business processes. A SOA approach however can also benefit a Virtual Organization (VO),
by enabling participant companies to promote their own business needs within the VO, as well as enabling it to flexibly
adapt to heterogeneous business requirements of its participant companies. Value can also be added to the operations of
such VO with the use of Intelligent Agents, which can support some of the human tasks of finding partners and
negotiating the terms of cooperation with them. |
