Paper Abstract:
|
Recent years, led to give a meaning to dynamic facades and adaptive systems. The improvements, which are identified with
such solutions proved increasing of the overall building performance. Moreover, adaptive systems became to be researched
with taking into consideration biomimicry, which due to the wide range of patterns, is a source of various solutions.
Increasing energy efficiency issue became a main reason of popularising adaptive systems. Biomimicry approach has an
influence on shaping facades and minimising the costs of production and functioning of the systems. This paper aims to
outlines the meaning of biomimicry in design process, draw attention to the significance of combining bio-inspired way of
thinking to climate as well as to bring closer one of tools - "The Biomimetic Spiral Tool" as creative and functional way
to improve methodology. |
