Paper Abstract:      This study attempts to apply the two patterns of cooperative learning – Cooperative Learning and Collaborative Learning – to the online game mechanism. Learning units of the fourth-grade math are blended into the game through which students can engage in computer-aided learning. Taking advantage of the popularity of online games, it explores whether these two online game mechanisms help students with math studies in a significant way. It also evaluates achievement of cooperative online games and math teaching, in hopes that outcomes of the study will introduce new direction to research on information-blended math education.
