Paper Abstract:
|
This paper stems from the doctoral program in Interaction Design at the University of Aveiro, pertaining to the
development of a prototype of an online platform for management and archiving of creative and collaborative projects.
Based on Csikszentmihalyis (1990) assumption about the importance of the "creative flow"2 as a conscious instrument
for quality and creative production increase, and the experience gathered from the inspiring results of asynchronous
collaborative work in e-learning contexts, we sustain our thesis that "through an online context which facilitates the
development of project methodologies, regardless of space and time in which the creative interactions occur, it is possible
to reduce the time of developing creative projects and increase the quality of the final product that results from
interactions between remote collaborative creative professionals.
TCRIO is more than an innovative web based technology. It aims to achieve an optimization method of the development
process of interdisciplinary and collaborative creativity projects, inspired in the process of ideas generation and design
experiences from one of the most respected creativity industry in the world - IDEO in Palo Alto, California, portrayed by
Myerson (2004) and the theory of the "creative flow" of Csikszentmihalyi (1990). |
