Paper Abstract:
|
SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) as a method of integrating different applications is not new. Many books and
articles are written about SOA. The related theory promises IT-professionals many benefits stemming from SOA. The
paper will not discuss the details of different implementation patterns, nor will give definitions to SOA terms, but rather
focus on the implementation pitfalls and general weaknesses that we have found after some practical experiments within
our telecom company. These drawbacks forced us to look for a way to improve SOA. One of the possible solutions is to
combine SOA with power of agent-oriented software engineering. This article suggests a structure of company IS,
discusses some practical aspects, describes a way SOA helps to solve integration problems and proposes consolidation
with multi-agent system. |
