Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper we try to create a context to understand design practices from the quality point of view. Our approach is ethnography based and conceptual. We studied several multimedia production teams to find out how they define quality, how they try to measure and achieve it, and how and why they want to establish sustainable quality in their design practices. First we introduce three dimensions of quality: quality of processes, quality of products and quality of persons. Then we illustrate real work arrangements in web based multimedia production teams and discuss these dimensions in our cases before concluding our paper. |
