Paper Abstract:
|
For an eLearning system to utilize errors for instructional purposes, it needs to represent and diagnose the frequent ones. Therefore, we developed a representation of buggy rules and misconceptions and extended Active-Math domain ontologies by misconceptions and buggy rules as well as their relations to concepts, rules, examples, and exercises. This is demonstrated for the mathematical domains of symbolic differentiation and fractions. This extension allows ActiveMath to generate respective diagnoses of user input and specific reactions. |
