Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents a novel approach to teaching complex technical subjects to the general public which involves
incorporating learning materials into the context of an interactive, media-rich survey. An example is presented, based on
an effort to investigate the current level of IT security among the general public, together with ways of improving it. We
present a model for implicit learning in which interactive learning material is combined with a surveying environment:
the user is guided and stimulated to reflect by the questions of the survey and is offered an environment for exploration
and reflection that is supported by immediate feedback offered by the system. |
