Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper, a method was proposed to use a single DS325 depth camera[1] for hand characteristic gesture recognition and real time mouse control. The proposed method uses at horizontal histogram of the hand to determine the hand position and gestures as well as to extract the hand control point, which determines the mouse movement. It is determined whether the index finger is stretched to implement a mouse click and mouse movement is implemented through a control point robust against changes of the hand position. Furthermore, a method to convert the acquired control point to a coordinate on the screen is proposed. In order to test the proposed method, an algorithm proposed on an actual PC was realized. |
