Paper Abstract:
|
Studies and experiments point to the overhead on the message ex- change systems as a critical factor for the success of solutions using P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technology. This factor increases drastically the network use. More over the peers involved in these systems dont always have the same processing capacity, and this causes variation in the processing frequency of messages. In many cases, this technology also has limitations in the speed of data transfer over the network (latency). This paper proposes a recommendation engine for creating federations of peers in P2P systems using as criteria the similarity on the processing capacity of the peers. |
