Paper Abstract:      Web services are intended for making heterogeneous systems interoperate. Although such interoperability is currently achieved for simple data types, the reality is that problems arise when web services try to consume more complex, dynamic datatypes, which often are platform specific. In this paper is presented a solution where complex datatypes are considered as web services themselves. This way, consumers don’t have to process the received data manually, but they can delegate to a third party datatype server the interpretation of the data. The approach has been validated with a prototype and a performance evaluation is analyzed.
