Paper Abstract:      Constructs underlying the study of Theoretical Computer Science are often hard if hand-made. Some relevant initiatives appear in literature offering more attractive computer-supported means to work out these constructs. From the contents’ perspective, however, such solutions privilege practical work. From the learner’s perspective, such computer support have been accounting to individual work. In this paper, we introduce part of our preliminary achievements toward a Web environment allowing learners to deal with both theory and practice while studying Automata Theory in groups. We present the design of the proposed system as an instantiation of previous work from literature, particularly concerning computer-supported collaboration, asynchronous communication, and modeling for learning.
