Paper Abstract:
|
Mobile services (m-services) are widely used and provide several advantages to users. One of the main success factors of an m-service is the adoption and usage rate. Therefore, it is important to identify the factors that affect the m-service usage. This research investigated the effect of usability and expected benefit on m-service usage. The task analysis and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 participants. Results were compared with the actual usage data that were obtained from the log files. Findings revealed the relationship between the usability, expected benefit and m-service usage rate. According to the results, usability and expected benefit influenced the adoption process, and the users preferred to use services that are more usable and beneficial. Essential practical implications of the findings were discussed. |
