Paper Abstract:      Technology education involves experiments concerning circuit construction and measuring the constructed circuit using experimental equipment. Herein, this paper proposes a novel e-learning system for constructing virtual experiments relating to circuit construction and measurements with the mid-air operations of experimental equipment. The proposed system possesses a technical novelty that automatically recognizes the motions of a learner's hand and fingers as well as gives mid-air tactile stimuli obtained from ultrasound vibration. Using these techniques, the e-learning system enables a learner to perform virtual experiments using equipment with the same motions of his hand and fingers as the operations of real equipment. The evaluation test using 100 patterns of virtual experiments verified the effectiveness of the proposed system.
