Paper Abstract:      Applying quality assurance techniques to software applications is important to ensure their quality and develop their functionalities. This paper emphasizes the importance of software quality assurance and the reliability of web-based applications in this digital era, especially in the open education field. It provides a brief overview of the existing literature on software quality assurance and quality metrics. It proposes a testing approach using black-box testing techniques, Goal-Question-Metric for enhancing the quality of a web-based tool (convOERter) developed to convert existing educational materials semi-automatically into OER.
