Paper Abstract:
|
Computer Science Talent Scout is a library of interactive programs that can serve as a self-assessment aptitude test. CSTS
assumes a mathematical maturity typical of high school, but does not depend on previously acquired knowledge as
taught in an introductory course on CS. CS-TS challenges students by posing puzzle-like problems that call for creative
invention, rather than knowledge, and explains that such puzzles illustrate general concepts that a student will encounter
in a CS course of study. |
