Paper Abstract:
|
Despite some years of development the benefits of computer-based assessment (CBA) are often more visions than reality.
Based on our development of a CBA platform for high stake exams, we hold that the development of standardised CBA
formats is a crucial condition for the widespread employment of CBA for high stake exams. We suggest that innovative
CBA should follow a research oriented approach with the following four priorities: incorporate the whole assessment
cycle, optimise human computer interaction, support the assessment of multiple knowledge forms, and foster high psychometric
standards. This paper presents our experienced based approach supported by an actual literature review. |
