Paper Abstract:
|
The behavior patterns of social beings have transformed immensely due to the emergence of new communication media such as chat, blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc. The authors have carried out a qualitative research by interviewing a group of diverse individuals in Singapore, to determine patterns of behavior in relation to their use of new social media. The data reveals that certain behavior traits that have been consciously adopted or changed and that the new media has inadvertently created a line of confusion between the formal and informal communication and behavior. |
