Paper Abstract:
|
This paper presents a pervasive virtual coach, that is part of an exergame, with the goal of investigating how such a character may promote the practice of regular physical activity and a healthier lifestyle. Exergames, defined as digital games with physical interactivity, are becoming increasingly popular in our society. Their benefits are starting to be investigated, such as their ability to improve peoples physical fitness and motor skills. However, their association with pervasive characters aiming at the development of healthy lifestyle behaviors in young kids and adolescents has still not been investigated, which is the goal of the project described here. |
