Paper Abstract:      Through out the short history of personal computers there have been several attempts to delineate possible benefits for the teaching of programming to non-programmers, from children to higher education students. The potential benefits range from motivation and creativity to logical thinking, problem solving skills and more. In this paper we describe an exploratory study of teaching programming to Behavioral Sciences students using an interactive multimedia programming environment. We describe the goals we had for the respective course titled "Design of computer-based interactive stories and games" along with preliminary findings regarding the achievement of some of these goals.
