Paper Abstract:
|
The use of mobile devices for teaching and learning continue to increase in institutions of higher learning. This could be attributed to many factors such as flexibility to access materials. There is a potential to make use of mobile learning to achieve large scale impact on teaching and learning, through portability, mobility, and low cost factors. Even though many learners and educators have embraced the use of mobile devices for academic purposes, there are challenges associated to its adoption. Adoption of mobile devices to provider library services could be challenging, and the purposes could be defeated if there is no formal framework. This paper provides a framework to understand the implications, focusing on the primary factors which influence the adoption of mobile devices for library services. |
