Paper Abstract:	The world of sporting information is forever growing. This area seeks to provide, assist and guide those wanting to know more about sports and related topics through a wide range of sources and media. Nowadays information systems penetrate into such areas, which are demanded by the public and the media. They are able to calculate scores from every sport and inform the media and public very quickly if current information and communication technology is used. If we have scores ready, we can send them to the media or make them available on the Internet. There are sports like football and ice hockey, most popular in the Czech Republic, which have the best financial support and results with information about these sports are well known to the public through the media. It is not very difficult to calculate sport accomplishments for them. In table tennis it is more difficult. This sport has the second largest base of players after football in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, accomplishments in table tennis competitions are very often calculated by referees using calculators or spreadsheets like Excel. Table tennis calculations of accomplishments are very difficult and they take a lot of time. The final accomplishments in all competitions are available to the public in the Czech Republic after a very long delay, generally only four times a year and they are not in particular detail. However, this system of evaluating table tennis accomplishments is not the same in every region of the Czech Republic. E.g. regions Vysocina, Prague West and Prague Central use the WWW information system for table tennis, which gives actual accomplishments with detailed notices. The accomplishments are available to the media on the Internet within a short time after the finish of the competition. The region Vysocina has been appraised as the best in the evaluation of accomplishments in all competitions, in public and media presentation and in the advertising of this sport in the Czech Republic. This paper shortly presents the WWW information system supporting table tennis accomplishment calculations, which were awarded by the Czech Association of Table Tennis last year.
