Paper Abstract:
|
The World Wide Web and the rapid developments in its technologies offer promising possibilities for collaboration in the
survey process. This short paper is mainly part of the theoretical foundation work, for an exploratory research study to
examine the promise of technology for, and the effects of, collaboration and interaction in the web survey process. The
work presented herein reviews concisely the current state of the literature on this subject, indicates technology
developments that could support an online collaborative survey process, sheds some light on the potential advantages to
be expected from such a process and ultimately presents the notion of collaborative web survey and suggest a
definition for it. Some results from the exploratory phase are also outlined here very briefly. |
