Paper Abstract:
|
Digital resilience has emerged as a critical concept, experiencing lately a surge in research publications. However, the term is being used inconsistently and the current body of studies on the topic is creating a conceptual confusion. In this reflection paper, I present a semantic analysis contrasting how different studies refer to and use digital resilience. A distinction is made between the various meanings of digital resilience through the lenses of polysemy, homonymy, and synonymy. By offering a more nuanced understanding of digital resilience and its usages, this reflection paper contributes to enhance effective communication and comprehension among scholars, thereby helping to advance academic discourse on digital resilience. |
