Paper Abstract:
|
This study examines the issues related to application of new websites and instructional tools for pre-service teachers. The
participants of this were pre-service teachers who had taken their internship between August 2007 and January 2008. The
subject areas of the participants include Chinese, English, and Social Study. Observations and group meetings were
adopted for data collection. An Interactive Website for Instructional Demonstrations of Pre-service Teachers is
constructed to enable pre-service teachers to share their teaching practice on the website. An interactive instruction
system (called EduClick) is also developed to aid the participants teaching. Analytical results reveal that the website
records the participants teaching activities, and the participants have sufficient expertise to integrate IT and EduClick
into their teaching. This study also identifies some issues related to the willingness of teachers to continue to use the
proposed new technologies. |
