Paper Abstract:
|
A Web-based drawing board system using a simple Web database of the coordinates and color information for minute
segments is studied. These segments are inherent in the figures outlined on drawing boards on Web pages designed as
visual Web-based communication systems. Algorithms for realizing various line reproduction modes on drawing boards,
such as the line-by-line mode, the slow-motion mode, and the zoomed-in mode are proposed, and applied to a Web-based
learning system, such as an online soccer board or an online character learning board. Moreover, the figure is transformed
into a well-formed figure, if necessary, along with a reduction in the amount of information required for the reproduction
through an appropriate segment integration procedure. Algorithms for realizing these convenient tools are studied, and
the results of applying these algorithms to a real Web-based drawing board system are evaluated. |
