Paper Abstract:
|
This paper describes the implementation, using GPU, of some heuristics to site observers in terrains represented using digital elevation models such that a desired visual coverage is achieved. The main idea is to parallelize the operations used in the different heuristics and evaluate how the heuristics were accelerated. As the tests have shown, the parallel version can be more than 3 times faster when the desired coverage is high (about 90%). |
