Paper Abstract:
|
In the case that software applications are developed by information communication technology (ICT) specialists, the development cost is quite high and users have to pay high license fees to use these applications. It is important to reduce the cost when using software applications in education for universities and schools. There are a lot of open source software applications for education which can be used free of charge. The open source software is useful for the common education utilizations. But when they are applied to customize specially required educational utilizations, additional software patches must be developed by the ICT specialists. That is, high development cost is still a problem. Cloud computing is changing the software development methods and shows the possibility of developing software application in low cost. In this paper, we describe our designs to present how to use the Google Apps for developing customization required software applications. Based on our design, a Web site for education is implemented based on a user required specification. We also present mobile device and cloud service related techniques that we are used during our developing. This system is now practically utilized in our university confirming the validity of our designs. |
