Paper Abstract:
|
This paper reports the findings from the interviews of micro-sized software developer companies located in sparsely populated area of Finland. The paper identifies the overall understanding of usability, usability process and practices of these companies. Results show that despite the fact that usability is seen as an important factor, the micro-sized companies do not have methodological usability process in their software development process, instead they use several separated methods. We claim that the usage of separate usability models integrated with the software development process used in the companies is not a random act, but instead it is their experience based strategy to improve the usability of their products. |
