Paper Abstract:      This work illustrates the test results of 2 heuristic evaluation tests on the Web Portal projected and realized in the Economics Faculty at the University of Bari. The heuristic-based evaluation method of web usability found itself on the individualization of various typologies of existing errors in the interaction between system and users. The First Test was made on the existing Web Portal with the aim to discover existing errors, the second one was performed on the new version of Web Portal and it helped to analyze the permanence of the errors, showing, at the same time, a drastic reduction of the usability problems and a consequent increase of the Portal’s ergonomics. The high number of improved interventions confirms the goodness of this methodology but it underlines that the range of corrective choices cannot enjoy some of the optimal solutions to avoid costs of reengineering.
