Paper Abstract:      Heterogeneus information management within the biomedical domain requires, a set of text content analysis and data mining techniques. Both, the intelligent information retrieval applied to Electronic Health Record (EHR) and to the biomedical databases, and the access to this information using pocket and hand-held devices or tablet computers, will be a useful tool for health care professionals and a valuable complement to other medical applications. In this paper we present both a description of the SINAMED1 research project, and a discussion of some partial results obtained. Our aim is to design new text categorization and summarization algorithms applied to patient clinical records and to the associated medical information, and to design advanced, efficient user interfaces for mobile devices and for on-line access to this results. The proposed system would contribute to improve the medical attention and patient safety.
