Paper Abstract:
|
This paper investigates user perception of identity attributes used in the digital world to establish trust with new users on Social Networks(SNs) and Virtual Worlds(VWs). Users of SNs and VWs will be taking part in a card sorting exercise. Findings from this exercise will then be used to understand how users establish trust in an environment with a trust score system in place. The research being described in this paper is part of an ongoing research on Identity and Trust management in distributed systems. The research is predominantly focused around SNs and VWs. However, the final framework can be applied to any dynamic environments that fall under the category of distributed systems. |
