Paper Abstract:      This paper presents a research approach used for tracking Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in learning environments. The study focuses on major practical issues in tracking HCI and on the conceptual design of an explicit approach for tracking different types of HCI of E-learning activity. Its aim is to assist researchers, pedagogical teams and other practitioners in E-learning, in designing and developing an appropriate tracking system for their research efforts. Also discussed in this paper is the security and privacy concerns related to the tracking process. These concerns are often neglected in the research works that implicate HCI tracking and using HCI collected data. The study made thus far has contributed to the design and development of a tracking approach in a context of Computer-Mediated Communications
