Paper Abstract:
|
Mobile learning is something more than the use of e-learning tools in mobile devices. It adds new dimensions to the
learning process. Users can learn anytime, anywhere, in a contextualized environment which can benefit from the activity
of nearby users and intelligent devices. Ad hoc learning communities can be created without previous configuration.
Mobile users can dynamically join and leave these communities creating a rapidly changing learning environment. This
paper examines the use of Grid technologies as the middleware to enable open and dynamic ad hoc mobile learning
communities and proposes some extensions based on WS-Notifications for the establishment of dynamic communities. |
