Paper Abstract:
|
The increasing use of distributed systems and services has lead to major concerns regarding the security of data and
services. Service providers are continually battling to ensure that only authorised users have access to services. As such,
the role of authentication methods is becoming increasingly important. In this paper we highlight some of the problems
that arise when using traditional text-based authentication techniques. We present a novel method for user authentication
based upon both text-based passwords and visual or image-based passwords. |
