Paper Abstract:      Modelling and numerical simulation became key elements for the competitiveness of enterprises and the development of their capacity for innovation. The use of numerical simulation by firms involves substantial support. It is essential to control specific methodologies to make suitable use. In the general context of collaborative numerical engineering and virtual environments, the major prime contractors require subcontractors to use these tools. HPC is developing very quickly. The experiments mentioned in this paper show that firms, including SMEs, have much to gain by accessing to an environment of intensive simulation. In order to help SME's to access HPC trade oriented simulation, Dinccs, the research centre of the French association for collaborative numerical engineering (Micado), develops CALINCA project. This project offers a structured access and services to the tools and methodologies of numerical simulation / optimization with high performance, especially for SMEs in the sectors of mechanics and material forming and for R & D projects. This platform "of High Performance numerical engineering" provides a technical and human environment to help SMEs and bigger firms to access to or progress in the field of numerical computation. After a brief presentation of the basic concepts, this paper introduces the methodology and the tools used to implement CALINCA platform. The present work is then presented and cases studies illustrate the obtained results.
