Paper Abstract:      The Distributed Software Development (DSD) offers advantages that meets the demands of globalization. Thus, it is possible to observe that more and more companies are distributing their software development processes aiming at productivity increase, cost reduction and product quality improvements. Thus, it is necessary to adopt appropriated methods to increase the efficiency of distributed software development. This paper describes a systematic review which was conducted aiming to provide an overview of the software processes used in distributed developing. Results obtained indicate the need for a specific process for distributed software development and provide subsidies for its definition.
