Paper Abstract:
|
There is no longer any question as to whether or not IT can deliver value to the organizations: this is already considered a fact. IT value is one of the most researched topics, but little is said about what is "value", most of the research is about IT investments evaluation methods and their classifications. We lack a better understanding of what IT value is, not a single definition but what are the elements that contribute to the IT value. We present our research in progress, whose main objective is to build an IT value Catalog revealing its composition and prescriptions (operacionalizations) on how to obtain contributions to the IT value from each model´s element. |
