Paper Abstract:
|
How we should train teachers to use and integrate technology into their classrooms is a key question among professional developers today. This paper examined three different professional development approaches (online courses, a pair-modeling approach, and project-based/teacher-directed approach) and their effectiveness to train teachers to integrate literacy and technology into their daily classroom practice. One hundred and forty four high-school teachers participated in this project across 20 high schools in the United States. Results revealed that the project-based/teacher-directed approach to professional development was most successful. This study also suggests implications for professional developers. |
