Paper Abstract:
|
As new digital technologies and applications are continually developed and become available for implementation at
higher education institutions (HEIs), the challenge to make appropriate use of these advancements to expedite teaching
and learning is highlighted. This reflection focuses on the rapidly evolving area of digital literacy, also commonly
referred to as computer literacy or technological literacy. The context of developing countries is acknowledged, and
current models or frameworks of digital literacy are examined. Finally, further direction for implementing digital literacy
in this context is suggested. |
