Paper Abstract:

In next few years, wireless communication industry will enter a period of substantial increase. The next generation wireless equipments will not only be a communication terminal, but also a mobile media center, a personal digital assistant and a wireless gateway. As a communication terminal and wireless gateway, the next wireless equipments should also be a peripheral equipment of personal computer and provide the mobile communication service. The system described in this article, which is a network terminal and wireless gateway, can provide the SMS (short message service) and phone call services for the computers and home equipments on the local area network or wireless local area network. |
