Paper Abstract:      This research proposal briefly defines the concept of initial online trust and explains its importance in a business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce context. Secondly, it provides a concise overview of the empirical literature by conferring the areas of contradiction and consensus. Next, several research gaps are identified and finally, the objective and methodology of the future research is proposed.
