Paper Abstract:      Copyright is a method created to protect new technology development and this protection cannot be achieved unless there is growing awareness in the society about copyright regulations and rules. Therefore the meaning of copyright and the new foundation of it are clarified. The limitation of what is protected and what is not protected under the copyright law is explored. Particular attention is paid to the computer software piracy, taking into consideration it’s beginning and the International community’s protection of software. The motivation behind software piracy is reported. Code of ethics and professional practice in Copyright and Software are discussed. The major impact of copyright infringement on the software market and the benefit of the implementation of copyright law are highlighted. Also how to protect you organization from software piracy is pointed out. Finally overall conclusions regarding other alternatives to costly software without any effect on the practice of ethics or impact on the software market are presented. In addition recommendations are presented that may improve the software market industry in the light of the copyright.
