Paper Abstract:
|
Networked schools have become a feature of the education system in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and
Labrador to support the provision of extended learning opportunities for high school students in small rural communities.
E-learning has facilitated the development of collaborative teaching in networked structures and encouraged the
development of new ways of organizing teaching, learning and the organization of schools. The future of e-teaching and
e-learning in networked schools depends on the development of professional education programs that prepare teachers for
new collaborative teaching within networked learning environments in which both virtual and traditional face to face
instruction can co-exist. |
