Paper Abstract:
|
This paper provides a review of the literature surrounding online child protection as a response to a challenge for the Isis project: given potential ethical issues with developing online child protection technologies, is there a significant enough case for the development of such technologies at all? Using recent literature, this paper concludes that there is a small but significant problem in the area of online child abuse, and that given the right context and ethical oversight, technologies can assist with the protection of children online. |
