Paper Abstract:

Casino needs for counterfeit prevention and effective management to better gain competitive advantage, and the
decreasing cost of microchips have led to renewed interest in radio-frequency identification (RFID). Beginning with an
overview of the commercial applications of RFID, this paper discusses management synergy and business ethics issues
for the application of RFID using in casino. Content analysis was conducted to summarize a Customer-Centric Service
Oriented Architecture, which is integrated RFID service system related with wireless technology, management synergy
and business ethics. It concludes with the ethic challenges that widespread RFID adopting must concern to earn the trust
of customers. On the basis of ethics concern, this paper provides foresight of the strategic value of RFID by building an
integrated system on how RFID used in casino strategy alliance may create and sustain competitive advantages. |
