Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper, we present the student evaluation of the NEPTON. The NEPTON (New English Placement Test On-Line) is a new on-line English placement test developed at Intercollege using the in-house developed Web-based multiple-choice testing software InterTest. In this paper we explain the functionality, the interface and the architecture of the InterTest system and report our findings from its use in developing NEPTON. Our main conclusion emanating from the analysis of the student evaluation is that firstly, NEPTON has been widely accepted by students and secondly, that the InterTest software is a very useful teaching/learning/assessment tool that can be utilized by faculty members at Intercollege to enhance the teaching and learning environment of the College. |
