Paper Abstract:
|
This paper outlines the development process of software designed to enhance person-to-person internet communications
called Speech-to-Search. The Speech-to-Search software can be used between two people for just voice over internet
communications or video conferencing. The Speech-to-Search software uses automatic speech recognition to transcribe
everything spoken into text. Peer-to-peer communication is used to exchange the text of each user. The text of either
person can then be used to automatically search the users computer or internet to obtain decision making and idea
generating information. At the end of the paper there is a discussion of future directions where this software can be used
to automatically constrain information retrieval based on the users profile and search history. |
