Paper Abstract:      Analysis of the flow of opinions among members in communities is important to sort out useful topics from the general chatter of the community. In this paper, we aim at identifying social networks of communities to discover information can propagate through communities. For this purpose, we propose an Viral Diffusion Model, where the influential degree of interactions among people are calculated from not only by explicit routes of information propagation but also by implicit routes in the community. We applied this model to real data of a mailing list and it confirmed that the proposed model can identify social networks that include not only explicit relations among members but also implicit relations that cannot be extracted by comment-chain structure based approaches.
